The paintings are installed and tomorrow Saturday, December 7 at 2 p.m. is the opening of Layers: Stories of Time and Place. I am looking forward to see you there. Exhibition view: Layers: Stories of Time and Place by Jacqueline Steudler From the Press Release: In the exhibition, Steudler presents a series of artworks that represent her experience of travel, loss, meditation, questions of belonging, and the many layers of life itself.  Steudler’s large paintings have been created over the last ten month using mixed media approaches and foremost water-soluble oil paints. You might be reminded of a bird’s-eye view, flying over fields of grass and corn. If you are familiar with Steudler’s work you will find her bold colour combinations in her new work again, although somewhat muted due to the use of very thin layers of oil paint.

Everything is ready and the hanging of the first 48 paintings begins. The paintings are not hanging straight! It was very difficult to screw the screws straight into the board. Here now the result. All magnets are attaching to the screw head and point in that direction.  This will not work. I need a new solution.
