Greetings from the organizers: October 26th is fast approaching! Which means you will soon experience the fresh feel and vibe of the event formally known as the Creative Nova Scotia Awards Gala. Introducing  Art. Awards. Celebration. (a no-tie affair)   hosted by the Creative Nova Scotia Leadership Council.   Get your tickets now as space is limited. Tickets are $20 each which gets a local beverage, a variety of delicious canapés, and the opportunity to celebrate with members of the arts community.  Now the time is almost here to recognize Nova Scotia’s talented arts community showcasing a wide range of art forms. Join us as we celebrate individuals and groups who have made significant contributions to our province – making Nova Scotia a diverse and creative place to live. Creative Nova Scotia Awards Celebration

The preparations are under way to install 'interaction art project' at the Brewery Market in Halifax.  On Friday, October 26 the doors will be open from 7 - 11 p.m. Where there were once frames will be 300 miniature paintings to interact with.

October 14 at Gallery 215 in Selma: Art and Lunch

Don't miss the last day of the season at Gallery 215 Sunday, October 14 from  11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Art and Lunch is a wonderful way to enjoy (and buy) great art and have a get together with some of the artists over lunch. First come, first served (smile)!

Friday, October 12 at the Halifax Club

Special tours through the SCA exhibition at the Halifax Club from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Come to the club stay for the Lunch and Learn or just enjoy the art works.  Lunch & Learn Series 12:00 noon to 1:30 p.m. Price: $29.95 RSVP 423-8460 ext 3, or reservation(at)halifaxclub.ns.ca Friday, October 12th: Joy Snihur Wyatt Laking presents “An Art Project in Remote Bolivia” Joy has made several trips to Bolivia including 5 weeks this year volunteering on an art project in conjunction with the Ivar Mendez International Foundation. Joy will talk about her experience, showing pictures of the mountainous area, of the paintings that she produced and of the art that the local people produced. One of Nova Scotia’s best known painters, Joy has been a professional artist for the past 40 years. She has had several national solo exhibitions, including one at the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia.
