Marbling a New Inspiration

layering the paint is like alchemy
I took a great workshop at the NS Centre for Craft and Design with Rhonda Miller, bookmaker and marbling queen.

Although I had dabbled in marbling as a kid and young adult, I had no idea how much fun and excitement it would instil in me again after 30 years. (smile)

I did it - no air bubbles
The first day creations where anything but perfect but nevertheless it just got better from there. The next day, all of us in the group, made beautiful papers (perfection wasn't my goal (smile)). I can't wait to get my hands on the materials to create more marbling papers.

How will I use them? I am not sure yet but collaging has been a part of my art practice for a long time and these new creations might just become a part of it.

The possibilities are endless. (smile)
