Join us for the opening reception for this year's annual Craft Nova Scotia Members Exhibit: Opening! Craft Today.

We are delighted to gather together again and see our craft community's wonderful faces inside the Mary E. Black Gallery.

An opening provides a look-in – a glimpse into a world or scene. An opening also proposes expansiveness and spaciousness. As we "peer into" artists' studios and lives, we build community and connection and, in doing so, gain insight and widen our perspectives.

Opening... up to shared and differing media.

Opening... up to shared and differing heritages.

Opening... up to the possibility of broadening our preconceived  notions and definitions of who we are and what we do.

OPENING is about new possibilities, strengthening connections, and building community.

Through this exhibition and through their work, members of Craft Nova Scotia tell us what this moment in craft means to them.

Join us on September 22 at 6 pm, Opening!

Craft Today runs until November 6, 2022

Invitation to Opening Reception: January 8 at 2 p.m. at Teichert Gallery in Halifax 🎉

Opening Reception  Sunday, January 8 from 2 - 4 p.m. Teichert Gallery, 1723 Hollis Street, Halifax Exhibition on view January 3 - 31, 2017 I would like to invite you to a juried group show that is dear to my heart.  For 10 years, I have been a member of  ArtSpa  a group of artists that meets every Tuesday in Waverley to share our passion for painting and everything art. What I like about the group is the openness, the support, and the respect that is shown to everyone on our individual painting path, not to mention the friendships that have formed over the years. You might wonder why we are called ArtSpa? When we were looking for a name early on one of our members Katherine MacMillan said that these painting days were better than a day at the Spa and another member Becky Thompson immediately said: "We are an ArtSpa".  Thank you to Katherine and Becky! It would be wonderful if you would make your way to the Teichert Gallery (former Art Sales and Rental Gallery
